As the world works towards vaccinations and trying to get back on course, there are things like the Touch the Sunrise gig in Ibiza that continue to be rescheduled yet again. While it was certainly no surprise to see the show and fan weekend being moved, it is a wonder why such a weekend was ever planned during a global pandemic.
Listen in as I break down the news along with the great press surrounding Dom Brown’s album, “In My Bones" (out June 11th!), and much more!

Last weekend, I went to my first concert since Covid began. It was everything I thought it would be and more. It turns out that the darkest year (and several months) for many of us is beginning to subside as the lights begin to glow for concerts and other outdoor events this summer. Let’s talk about it!

Okay, so while I know everyone is obsessed with the new single, “Invisible” off of Duran Duran’s upcoming 15th studio album, titled Future Past (out October 22)...I had decided to take a bit to commemorate the last remaining moments before everything we knew about Duran Duran was going to change.

Sure, Rio is 39 and all, but the debut album is 40!! Amanda and Rhonda celebrate the album and all that it has meant to them over the years. Cheers!!

Can you believe Rio is 39? I am struggling to reconcile that concept. I would swear I just turned 30....
It just doesn’t seem like that album has been a part of my life for that long. I still remember the very day I bought it. I can remember the excitement I had when I ripped off the cellophane, and the dismay I felt when I realized that “Is There Something I Should Know”, my very favorite song at the time (okay, my very favorite song even at present) wasn’t on it. But more on that when you listen to the podcast! Let’s celebrate Rio!

I’ve been promising a podcast “primer” for In My Bones, and here it is. During the recording of this auspicious podcast, I discovered that I have no future in unbiased reporting. Alas, I went ahead and finished, did a considerable amount of editing, and from now on, I will just go back to my typical, opinionated podcasts.
In the meantime, enjoy - and let me know what you think of Dom’s new album! I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Sometimes, it just helps to talk it out...and that’s what today’s My Own Way is all about.
Last night, I went to band practice like normal. Then I was dealt some terrible news that I’m still trying to process and sort through. Hopefully today’s podcast will help.
Just a warning that if you are easily triggered by news of deaths, sadness, or things of that nature, that perhaps this particular episode is one to pass up.

On this episode of My Own Way, it’s all about Roger. He was the guest in the Katy Kafe this month, and all of the highlights are covered right here! Tune in for some extra special scoops about the “imminent” new single, the album...and even something that is on Rhonda’s Bucket List!

This month, we invited Wild Boys: The Duran Duran experience guitarist Bart Van Bemmel to join us for a chat on all things Duran Duran. Covering his humble fan beginnings, to guitarists, and why it’s so tough to find players willing to go “all in” when it comes to Duran Duran tribute bands, we think you’ll find this Vodka Friday a great listen!

This week, we continue on with our discussion about our perceptions of Duran Duran and how they’ve changed over the years, whether as children, adults, bloggers, or even currently. The conversation twisted and turned wildly, but we hope we’ve given you something to think about, and maybe you’ll even join in on the conversation. We’d love to hear from you!
